The Sanity Patrol understands that when faced with the madness that has seeped into today’s world, you just want some sanity and maybe you need help or reminders.

The Sanity Patrol wants to help AND keep you amused.

WTF is The Sanity Patrol?

We are a group of sane people who live in reality – both our own and the one we share (hopefully those are less mutually exclusive than more). We are anchored in facts, science and history.

The sovereign of The Sanity Patrol swings more to the left but welcomes opposing or different ideas because learning new input can reshape her opinions.

 Do you qualify to be a Sanity Patroller?

We each possess our own craziness (Z resembles this remark). But even the craziest can also be sane. Momentary aberrations, mistakes and failures are acceptable. Cleaning up messes you make even though that may not seem possible is necessary suckiness. Such is life.

Here are some of the growing statements members make to themselves to retain membership.

• We are curious and willing to learn (and some of us are over-educated).
• We welcome disagreement that isn’t fallacious or personal
• We either find a larger frame of reference whew differing opinions peacefully co-exist or simply accept the dialectic
• We are brave and not afraid of making mistakes and accept the consequences of those mistakes.
• We try to be decent, kind and honest, and acknowledge when we aren’t.
• We recognize we are in precarious times and want everyone to win but not at the expense of others.
• We listen because we are curious about how and why others think the way they do.
• We want to make the world a better place
