THE SANITY PATROL<\/b><\/p>

The Sanity Patrol has been around since 2005. The Sanity<\/span>Patrol Press started publishing with <\/span>The Sanity <\/span>Patrol Handbook<\/span>, later publishing subsequent books and <\/span>Dognostication Cards<\/span>. The Sanity Patrol Players <\/span>followed up with a few more productions of industrial plays she wrote for Plays <\/span>That Work that closed in 1997.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sanity Patrol is looking to evolve by connecting with those invested in thinking, learning and keeping sane in these crazy times here and other social media. Meanwhile, The Sanity Patrol offers short amusements and a sense of community. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Who is Z?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Z is aka Lailu Loon,  Z. Sharon Glant\u2019s avatar on Second Life (SL), a 3D virtual world that\u2019s been around for decades. If you\u2019ve never been on SL, imagine dressing up an imagined human, furry, animal or fantasy character in clothes bought from SL vendors, and wandering through dynamic environments built by members, dancing to live music from performers around the world, or making movies.<\/p>

Z has written, acted and directed plays on SL, some of them full length extravaganzas. Check out the trailers. The videos she\u2019s made are largely experiments. Now, Z is committed to using Lailu\u2019s talents to support The Sanity Patrol. Feel free to reach out to Z through Lailu on SL.<\/span>

Who\u00a0<\/a>is Z. Sharon Glantz?<\/strong><\/p>

The longer story is at Z. Sharon Glantz<\/a><\/strong> especially on the About page.<\/span><\/p>

The shorter version of her story is that she\u2019s a writer (much of her work is on her website) who had a day job as a legal assistant and paralegal. She\u2019s something of a news junky which is why she\u2019s so opinionated. She enjoys disagreement and in debate, supported by tactics she shares in her books and articles.<\/p>

Her background in psychology comes from threatening to go back to school to become a psychotherapist but learning that the only folks crazier than clients are the psychotherapists themselves \u2013 not all, but too many. Her experiences weren\u2019t pretty, but her pursuits in why people do and think the way they do pushed her forward. She was also lucky to work under the guidance of two who were sane. One was a Jungian who was brilliant but too often unethical. Elaine Childs-Gowell, Ph.D. and one of the founders of co-parenting therapy, became a collaborator on Stages of Ages which came out of two plays that won awards, and currently being consolidated into a percussive musical. Her personal work with Dr. Gowell inspired The Sanity Patrol Handbook.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
